Have you ever wondered about assessing your leadership skills and determining your personal learning priorities? We have this tool available for you, and the information about learning resources and opportunities near you, or you can recommend one for us to add to our list of learning priorities.

About the facilitator:

Donna SmithDonna has a tremendous passion for volunteering and she pursued this interest at MacEwan University in the Voluntary Sector Management program. Donna has a wealth of knowledge about working with communities from her previous positions with the Town of Stony Plain, Parkland School Division, and Alberta Sports, Recreation, Parks, and Wildlife Foundation. With a multitude of volunteer experience with the Spruce Grove Ringette Association and Innisfail Library, among many others, Donna looks forward to working on the KnowledgeConnector in the North East region

The Nonprofit Sector Link in Wood Buffalo was created to facilitate sustainable capacity-building for the nonprofit organizations in Wood Buffalo region.

  • explore ways to bring people and ideas together
  • broaden and deepen the knowledge and skills required by all players in the system
  • make use of  management standards governing the operation of an effective nonprofit
  • promote information and resource sharing
  • facilitate collaboration
